CH cats Tito and Wobbles seek adopter

NBC Montana Story

Tito and Wobbles are one year old brothers who have a syndrome called cerebellar hypoplasia (CH). They are missing a part of their brain that controls movement, so they wobble when they move. They are very sweet cats seeking a special adopter who can keep them together.

They were in a wonderful foster-to-adopt home for most of 2024, but unfortunately we got a message from a relative that the cats needed picked up due to circumstances beyond their control. These boys are now in a temporary foster home. They are litter-trained; they need an adapted litterbox with high sides to lean against because they can’t keep their balance in there. Their current foster has figured out the perfect combination of foods to keep their stool solid, reducing mess caused by their wobbling. She also uses raised bowls for food and water as they seem steadier when their heads can be higher. Because they fall over a lot, they do get messy and need wiped down, and the occasional bath. They are easier than most cats to bathe. They are very calm and sweet cats who love snuggles and playing with string and toys.

An ideal home for them would be one without access to stairs, a calm home environment (no young children or very active dogs), and someone dedicated to providing loving care and mindfulness of their comfort in the home situation (for example, providing plenty of cushy bedding, being aware of sharp edges).
